I want to talk about Affiliate Marketing, so basically it has been a growing industry for quite some time now but there are always new people entering this arena every single day.

Picture a way to make money online without any money to start with. You can be a homeless bum on the street and still make money providing that you have a computer and access to the internet. Although this might sound easy when you think about it the reality is that it’s not.

Basically the way you make money is through sending traffic or visitors from one place to another. Take for instance when I set up a blog, and then people come to my blog, I then put a link on my blog telling my audience to go to a particular site.

I make money if someone clicks on a link on my webpage. When doing this I need to register with an affiliate network or a company that employ affiliate programs. There two common ways which I get the money.

There are three most common payment systems involved which I can choose from. One is that I get payed per click (PPC), which basically means every time someone clicks on an add on my website I get money, a good example of an affiliate program that does this is Google Adsense.

The second most common affiliate payment plan is when someone actually makes a purchase or completes an action. This is commonly known as pay per action (PPA) or cost per action (CPA). In this model, you get money when you send traffic to merchant website’s that requires visitors to complete an action.

In this model you only make money when the merchant website makes money. A good example is Amazon.com as this site’s main purchase is to sell products. When you send visitors to this website and that visitor makes a purchase then you earn a commission from that sale. Typically it’s at small percentage such as 4-8% but this can be quite lucrative considering how many people actually buys from Amazon every single day.

Another great place that many thousands of Internet Marketers have been using is a well known place called Clickbank.com this place has one of the most largest database of digital products such as e-books, video courses, and computer softwares. This is also a CPA affiliate network that allows you to send traffic to certain merchant website that will pay you money every time they make a sale.

So pretty much this is a brief summary of affiliate marketing. For me I’ve been learning and implementing many strategies to making money online. Affiliate marketing has been widely very popular for many new people who are starting out and wanting to know ways to make money online.
